Marigor presented to ArtLab Dentistry in early 2015. She had complaints regarding her loose dentures and teeth (Figures 1-4). Marigor had lost self-confidence as she was experiencing an embarrassing odor from her mouth as well as teeth that moved around, and dentures that were so loose that is was almost impossible to chew and eat in public and around family.
Like many others like her, Marigor was referred to Dr. Reshad at Artlab Dentistry and a treatment plan was devised where her concerns were very specifically addressed. Marigor received fixed teeth and implants that she could chew with almost as soon as she had signed up. Dr. Reshad and team were able to identify quality bone in the zygomatic regions or cheek bones. Long implants were placed in these sites bilaterally, and provisional teeth were attached to these implants on the same day, a Friday in fact. No bone grafting was needed and Marigor was able to go back to work on Monday.
Her treatment was complete after a few months of healing (figures 9-14). Marigor now routinely visits our office for regular hygiene visits and is part of the ArtLab family. We are proud to have such a kind hearted caregiver as part of our family.
The distinctive parts of Marigor's treatment success were the fact we were almost instantly able to correct her severely convex facial profile and incompetent lips due to bad tooth and jaw positions (Figures 5,6). The other noteworthy fact was that we were able to avoid bone grafting and multiple lengthy and expensive surgical procedures by placing implants in the cheek bones (Figures 7,8). Marigor's quality of life was improved instantly.
